Today I receive a thank you card from the family of Charles "Charlie" Shireman.

SEPT 4 LUNCHEON

Hello Sarj, and Joan,

We had a good turn out Friday to see Sarj Bloom  and Jan his sweet  wife at the Asian Grill.

Everyone had a good time visiting with them, 19 was present.

Sarj said this might  be the last time he gets to Tiffin Town , as his eyes have  gotten much worse. So sorry to hear this.

I passed around a paper for every one to know where our next luncheon will be held

I found us a different place in town, it's going to be Friday  Nov.6, at 11:30.

The place is Madison Street Tavern, there is plenty of parking and good food too.

Well Jan and I finally made it to one of the luncheons.  We had a great time visiting with everyone. We stayed in Tiffin for a week and we miss it already.

Just a few weeks ago we lost CHARLES SHERMAN and now we have learned that BARBARA has also passed.
Barb was a faithful class member that attended all our functions and was a quiet lady.  She was gentle yet very engaging. She will certainly be missed by all.

57CARES has been able to send a Peace Lily to both Barbara and Charles's families, because of the kind and generous donations from all of you. The plant is adorned with Blue and Gold ribbons.

MAY 1 LUNCHEON

TCHS CLASS OF 1957 LUNCHEON

Hello all classmates and friends of TCH school class of "57'.

We held our luncheon today May 1 , at Fortball Pizza Palace.

15 attended: Peggy Thallman, and Rudy Karle joined us as they both have been laid up for a while but they was there using their walkers. Glad to see them again.

We had a good lunch and a lot of visiting , laughing .

I showed the ones that doesn't have a computer  the email I had gotten from Sarj with the 57" Care update,  You know who you are that donated to this, thank you again.

Others that was there were as follows.Shirley Baker, Claude Hohman, Howard & Janet Beisner, Herb Crum,Vivian Blankenship,Sara Huffman,Carol Engel,Jim Fey,Loretta Bargaheiser, and friend Barbara Patrice.Joan Stoner,

Our next luncheon will be July 3, 11:30 at Asian Grill at the mall.

Thanks to more contributions the FUND now has a balance of $ 785.17  thank you all so very much.

57 CARES UPDATE

 Classmates and Friends of TCHS 1957

We were able to get a Peace Lily with blue and gold ribbons to the service for Barbara Ann Barth Weber on time, even with short notice. I haven't got a response from the family yet, but then in the hurry the card may have only said Columbian High School Class of '57.  Next time I will have my address included so if we get a response I can share it with you all.

I guess Vivian put out the call that the account was getting a little low...$65.00. Boy did you guys respond. Such a generous bunch you all are.  The account now has $665.00 .  Now you know we don't have to spend this money..so stay healthy and hand in there with the rest of us. OK?

Along with the checks I received notes from a lot of you. You thanked me for doing this little thing, but what warmed my heart was your sharing what was going on in you lives. I wish I could respond to you all and maybe one day I give some of you a call. As you know I can talk.

MARCH 6th CHOW DOWN FOR CLASS OF -57

Classmates and friends

 

We held our luncheon today at Asian Grill on W. Market Street.

Seventeen attended. We enjoy talking and laughing. It's good to get together with each other.

 

Those attended were Norman & Hank Hiner, Carol Engle, Jim Fey, Vivian Blankenship and daughter Val Hohman,Carole (Toepper) Bergman, Bob and Barb Bauer,Claude Hohman and girl friend Jenney, Herb and Paula Crum, Sara Huffman, Ethel Lee and sister Deana Bly and her daughter Ronda,

 

Sara Huffman bought get well cards for Peggy Thallman, Rudy Karle, & Charles Mizen for every one to sign. Peggy - broken leg from a fall, Rudy from surgery to replace hip, And Charlie Mizen from surgery on broken hip from a fall.

 

Carol Engel brought candy  and decoration Bunnies for the tables. She also brought a Sympathy card to send to Peggy Brickner for the loss of her sister, Patricia Stover.

 

Our next luncheon with be May 1, at Fort Ball Pizza Palace.on N, Washington  Street.Time 11"30 A.M.

LUNCHEON NEWS

Hello Class mates of TCH class of 1957" and friends,

It's time to be thinking about our next luncheon coming up Friday Mar. 6th  at Asian Grill in the mall.

If your in the area and want to join us , let me know by Monday Mar 2nd.

 Please keep 3 of our class mates in your prayers. Peggy Thallman fell and broke her leg, and is currently staying  at Autumn wood again to get rid of a blood clot on her leg.

 Charles Mizen fell and broke his hip,at the present he's still at Mercy Hospital, will be going to Autumn wood also.

Rudy Karle got a hip replacement, he's being moved to St Francis today for two weeks rehab.

And the good news is Howard Beisner was on the  TV show Cash Explosion twice , and won $65,000 dollars. Congratulation Howard !!!

NEW YEARS LUNCHEON

HAPPY NEW YEAR

 TO ALL!

Hello Sarj, and Joan,
Today was our luncheon held at T.J.'s Willies ,with 11" weather and snow. We should be called the snow bunnies !!!
Sixteen attended we had a great time talking and visiting. Carol ( Topper)Berugman, joined us for the first time, she plans on the next one too, she lives in Port Clinton.
Also Dave ans Susan Aller from Royal Oak Mich, joined us to day, so glad they all could join us.
Others that attended were as follow: Janet and Howard Beisner, Charles Mizen,Carol Engle, Jim Fey,Claude Hohman,Peggy Thallman,Herb and Paula Crum, Judy and Gene Zimmer, and My self Vivian Blankenship.
Our next luncheon will be March 6, 11:30 , 2015 at Asian Grill at the mall, every one enjoyed it before and want to go again.
